The First Year Faculty Teaching Academy (FYFTA) workshop series is held several times throughout the academic year. New faculty are provided prep-work, readings, and resources in Canvas as well as activities within each workshop. To create more cohesion, I designed a workbook to compile the prep-work, activities, and resources that faculty can use as a guide beyond completion of the series.

My roles: Creative direction; layout design; typography

Inspiration & ideation: One of the limitations for this design was that it needed to be in black and white only. Strong typography and clean lines with ample white space created a modern feel so that color was not missed.

Results: In a survey, participants said they found the workbook useful and the layout made it easy to find resources and notes. The majority of participants said they kept the workbook for future reference.
